Pumpkin Patch 2010

Everyone had a blast at this year's Pumpkin Patch Festival in Egg Harbor!

We wanted to write a blog to show everyone our photos and tell you about it!

Saturday and Sunday started out lovely, many walked or biked to the festival and those that drove didn't mind parking up the road and enjoying the fall colors and insanely warm temperatures on their way down!

Then the real fun began. We saw 106.9 The Lodge broadcasting from the festival, and a live band playing in Harbor View Park!

In addition to the music, there were vendors selling everything from caramel apples to brats, burgers, pretzels with cheese, pulled pork sandwiches and kettle corn.  (And there were Wisconsin brews on tap, of course!)

Multiple art fairs displayed lawn ornaments, fall and Halloween decorations, paintings, wood carvings, hand-made sweaters, aprons and winter hats - even silver and gold jewelry!

And we can't forget the scarecrow and pumpkin displays!

We saw "The Egg Harbor Geek Squad," a spooky harbormaster, pumpkin poker, a scarecrow "gettin' carried away," a pumpkin patch tea party and other great  displays!

For the kids, Pumpkin Patch was a play-day paradise.

In Harbor View Park there was a face painting booth and down near the marina kids enjoyed a mini-carnival with a giant slide, "The Gator" roller coaster, convertibles to drive and game stands. A storyteller even offered some lovely family entertainment.

A few blocks down, there were two giant bounce houses that became known as Scooby Doo and "The Twister!!"

What was your Pumpkin Patch experience like?
Tell us about it!!

Missed it this year? There's always next year, and hey, Sister's Bay's Fall Fest is next weekend!
